In order to visit Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja.
The President left the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja early today, departing from the Presidential Wing.
The plane took off at roughly 10:35 a.m.

Tinubu’s first visit to the northeastern region of the nation since taking office.
He is scheduled to attend the Nigerian Army Annual Conference as the Special Guest of Honour.
Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, reportedly made the inaugural ceremony’s plans public, according to NTA.
A speech to the soldiers of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, a tour of the ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri, and the ceremonial cornerstone-laying for Headquarters 7 Division are all scheduled for the event.
The Special Guest of Honour will conduct these events.
