On Wednesday, Nigeria’s National Grid experienced its twelfth collapse of the year.

The most recent incident occurred at approximately 2:09 pm, once more leaving Nigerians in darkness.

Since January 2024, the grid has collapsed eleven times.

In one week during October, the grid failed three times.

A tweet from Nigeria’s National Grid’s official account stated: “We’ve experienced a significant grid setback, and restoration efforts are about to begin.”
