Over 40 ministers from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet are presently in a closed-door meeting with George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

The central focus of the meeting is to tackle the forthcoming nationwide demonstration against financial difficulties.

Noteworthy personalities, including Nyesom Wike (FCT), Yusuf Tuggar (Foreign Affairs), Zephaniah Jisalo (Special Duties), Tahir Mamman (Education) and Abubakar Bagudu Budget and Planning are among the ministers present. Additionally, other attendees include Wale Edun(Finance), Mohammed Idris(Information), Bello Matawalle(Defence). David Umahi(Works) along with National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

The meeting comes after President Tinubu urged Nigerians earlier this week to reconsider the scheduled #EndBadGovernance protest starting on August 1.

The upcoming demonstration, which has gained considerable traction on social media platforms, is scheduled to occur in every one of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
