Chaos ensues as the national grid collapses once more, plunging the country into a total blackout. Authorities are scrambling to assess the situation and restore power to affected areas.
Nigeria’s national power grid has experienced another collapse.
This will occur for the third time in just one week.
The most recent collapse happened early Saturday morning, resulting in complete blackouts being reported by many states.
Data acquired from the Nigerian System Operator’s portal (niggrid.org) indicated that, as of 9:20 am today, the grid recorded zero megawatts (MW).
This recent failure follows two other breakdowns from earlier in the week, putting additional pressure on an already delicate power system.
Businesses and households are still struggling due to the nation’s unreliable electricity supply, compounded by high fuel costs and shortages.
