Multichoice Nigeria has been directed by a three-member panel of the Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal to provide a complimentary one-month membership to users of the DStv and GOtv platforms.
Multichoice was also penalised N150 million by the tribunal for contesting the court’s jurisdiction, which had previously prevented it from raising the cost of its DStv and GOtv bundles.
The panel, led by Justice Thomas Okosu, rendered the decision in Abuja on Friday.
