Oba Ghandi Olaoye, the recently appointed Soun of Ogbomosoland, has officially received the instrument of office and the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
During the presentation at the Ogbomoso Township Stadium, Governor Makinde gave Oba Ghandi Olaoye, popularly known as Orumogege III, the Staff of Office.

In his acceptance speech, Oba Olaoye reaffirmed his dedication to a clear plan for fostering wealth and harmony in Ogbomosoland.
In addition, he presented a comprehensive 25-year plan that he intends to make public in the upcoming months.
Oba Olaoye pledged to use his newly acquired skills and connections to benefit the community, relying on his extensive thirty-year background in business and spiritual leadership.
As Oba Olaoye moved from his previous position as a church pastor to that of a community leader, he emphasised his dedication to leading the people towards advancement and development. He exhorted rivals and interested parties to cooperate in order to advance the community.
Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja III, Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, former Minister of Information Lai Muhammad, and a number of other notable individuals attended the occasion with their esteemed presence. Former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo was also present.
