Leading lawyers, government appointees, and politicians—mostly from the same parties—assemble before the Supreme Court in anticipation of the court’s ruling in the case involving the controversy surrounding the most recent presidential election.
Appeal papers have been submitted by Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, and President Bola Tinubu’s child Seyi are among those in court.

Among the others are Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State Petroleum Resources (oil), Abdullahi Ganduje, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Julius Abure, the factional chairman of the Labour Party, and Umar Damagum, the acting chairman of the PDP.
Chief Chris Uche, SAN, who serves as the primary attorney for Atiku/PDP, Mike Ozekhome, SAN, who is a member of the Atiku/PDP legal team, and Sir Steve Adehi, SAN, who represents INEC, are a few of the prominent attorneys present in court.
The court has not yet started to meet, despite the fact that it is nearly nine in the morning.
