BREAKING: Governors from 36 states and Tinubu meet in Aso Rock

The Nigerian Governors Forum is currently being hosted in the Presidential Villa by President Bola Tinubu.

Along with the re-elected governors from their respective states, new governors are also present at the gathering.

After Tinubu swore in Senator George Akume as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation at midday, the meeting got started.

On Wednesday, a quick swearing-in ceremony took place in the council room of the Presidential Villa.

In front of government representatives, Akume swore the oaths of allegiance and office.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, and the spouse of the new SGF Mrs. Regina Akume were all in attendance for the swearing-in.

Since then, Akume has gotten used to his new position as SGF, and Tinubu is currently holding meetings with the 36 state governors on behalf of the Nigerian Governors Forum.
