Gov Yusuf has removed the curfew imposed on Kano following widespread protests, easing restrictions on movement.
The curfew imposed on Kano by the State Government has been lifted as normalcy gradually returns to the city after the #EndBadGovernance protests.
The protests in Kano resulted in violence, as angry mobs destroyed and looted property worth billions of naira.
As a response to the situation, the government enforced a 24-hour curfew in the city which was later modified to be from 6:00 am till 6:00 pm, providing an opportunity for business operations.

According to a statement posted on Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s Facebook page by his media Aide, Salisu Yahya Hotoro, the State Government is confident that peace has been restored to the city and therefore decided it was time to lift the curfew.
According to the statement, “Peace has completely returned to the city of Kano and as a result, the 24-hour curfew imposed earlier has been successfully lifted.”
