Siminalayi Fubara of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been officially declared as the Rivers Governor by the Supreme Court.
The court’s five-member panel unanimously ruled on Thursday that the appeal made by Tonye Cole of the All Progressives Congress (APC) lacked merit.
Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, delivering the lead judgment, stated that Cole and the APC were unable to provide sufficient evidence to support their case. Justice Saulawa thoroughly addressed all four issues raised in the appeal against the appellants.
Further details will be provided soon.
