In a tragic incident, David Shikfu Parradang, the former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), was abducted and killed by attackers in Abuja.

In the early hours of Tuesday, after withdrawing money from a bank, Parradang was abducted in Area 1, Abuja.

According to reports, unknown kidnappers followed him from the bank and seized the cash before killing him in cold blood.

This tragic situation has intensified worries about security in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), especially regarding the increasing cases of kidnappings and targeted attacks.

A source who confirmed the incident conveyed their sorrow, stating, “It is heartbreaking to learn that our Brother David Parradang was shot and killed yesterday. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”

Parradang dedicated over three decades to public service at the Nigerian Immigration Service, working in various locations across Nigeria including Kano, Lagos, Kwara, Enugu, and the Federal Capital Territory. He also participated in training courses both domestically and internationally.

Attempts to contact the Abuja police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, were unsuccessful as text messages and calls went unanswered at the time of reporting.
