BREAKING: Explosion Occurs at Trans Niger Pipeline in Rivers

An explosion has shaken the Trans-Niger Pipeline located in Bodo, within the Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The explosion took place late Monday night close to the under-construction Bodo-Bonny Road.

The impacted portion of the major pipeline is currently ablaze, although the exact cause of the explosion is still unknown at this time.

It remains uncertain if human interference led to the incident, particularly given recent threats from militant groups targeting oil installations in the state.
