Godwin Emefiele, the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is currently present at the Ikeja High Court in Lagos for his arraignment.
The ex-governor, who is facing allegations of misusing his position and appropriating billions of dollars for personal gain, is being prosecuted for his actions.
Alongside him, his co-defendant Henry Isioma Omole will also be arraigned on 26 fresh charges before Justice Rahman Oshodi today.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has accused Emefiele of abusing his office during the period between 2022 and 2023, as stated in the charge marked ID/23787c/2024 and dated April 3, 2024.
