BREAKING: DHQ confirms that the Chief of Defence Staff is alive and well

A widely circulated rumour that General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), has passed away has been refuted by Defence Headquarters.

President Bola Tinubu appointed Musa as Chief of Defence Staff on June 19, 2023.

He was commissioned into the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps on September 21, 1991, and he is a member of the 38th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy.

Musa graduated with a master’s degree in defence studies from Beijing, China’s National Defence University.

It was stated in a newspaper article—not by Platinumpost—that the Defence Chief had died.

“Contrary to recent false publication, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, is alive and well,” the DHQ stated in a post on X on Tuesday, November 21.
