Customs Revenue Soars by 90.4%, Reaches N6.1trn in 2024 – CG Adeniyi
Nigeria’s Customs revenue surges by 90.4%, hitting an impressive N6.1 trillion in 2024, as announced by the Comptroller-General, Adeniyi, signaling a major financial achievement.
Bashir Adeniyi, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, announced that in 2024, the service generated N6.1 trillion in revenue—marking a significant rise of 90.4 percent compared to the N3.2 trillion collected in 2023.
C.G Adeniyi revealed this during a press conference held in Abuja on Tuesday.
Adeniyi observed that the service exceeded its 2024 revenue target of N5.07 trillion by 22 percent.
He stated that the Nigeria Customs Service achieved its highest revenue collection in October, amassing N603 billion.
“In 2024, the service achieved an unmatched performance by recording N6.105 trillion, surpassing the year’s revenue target of N5.07 trillion by 22 percent,” he stated.
