BREAKING: Bonfire Ignited by Protesters at Kano Govt House
A bonfire was set up in front of the Government House in Kano by certain individuals participating in a countrywide demonstration against challenges on Thursday morning.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s address was anticipated by protesters from different areas of the city who had come together at the Government House.
Upon nearing the gate, a gathering of demonstrators fashioned tires into a formation and lit them on fire.

In reaction, the security personnel stationed at the Government House resorted to firing gunshots and releasing tear gas canisters in a bid to scatter the gathering.
As a result of this pandemonium, demonstrators scattered in various directions for safety.
