President Bola Tinubu banned Edu on Monday, January 8, on the grounds that he had transferred the humanitarian fund into a personal account.
Grants to vulnerable populations in the states of Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Cross River, and Ogun were intended to be paid out with the N585 million.
Following the swearing-in of members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in August of last year, Edu is the first minister to be suspended from office.
