Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isa Koto, the Ohimege Igu, Konto-Nkarfe, was overthrown by the Kogi State Government, led by Governor Yahaya Bello.
The overthrown ruler was likewise exiled to Niger State’s Rijau Local Government District.

Alhaji Salihu Akawu Seidu, also known as SAS, was chosen by state governor Yayaha Bello to succeed Ohimege, who was removed from office.
Bello ordered Seidu to get a turban right away in order to prevent a scandal.
The governor also declared Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Anaje, the current Ohi of Okenwen, to be the new Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.
“Having followed through our Traditional and Chieftaincy Laws, Rules and Regulations and all the due processes, we have come to the following resolutions,” Bello announced the developments shortly after a meeting of the State Executive Committee.
We therefore remove and depose His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isah Koto, the Ohimege-Igu Koton-Karfe, who also serves as the Chairman of the Lokoja/Kogi Local Government Area Traditional Council, to the Rijau Local Government Area in Niger State.
“The Olu Magongo of Magongo, His Royal Highness Sam Bola Ojo, is to be ousted and taken to Salka, Magama Local Government Area, Niger State.
“The Obobanyi of Emani, His Royal Highness Samuel Adayi Onimisi, is being removed and will be ousted at Doko, Lavun Local Government Area, Niger State.
“That Similar to decision No. 3, which upgrades the stool to first class status and refers to it as “OBOBANYI OF IHIMA” on the promotion letter, was made without taking into account the fact that the title is the subject of litigation and that the court of law has not yet reached a possible final decision. Nevertheless, the government has received several petitions highlighting the need to revert and maintain the status quo until the court of law decides.
For this reason, the current occupant of the stool is deposed and is hereby reverted to “OBOBANYI OF EMANI.”
“The ONU-IFE in Omala Local Government is to be suspended, indefinitely,” declared His Royal Highness Boniface Musa.
“The Government hereby announces the appointments of the future occupants on the following seats, following appropriate intervention by the Government to address the persistent issues that have characterised the selection process.
“The MAIGARI OF LOKOJA, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, is hereby appointed.
We officially designate Alhaji Dauda Isah as the MAIYAKI OF KUPA.
Accordingly, Mallam Saidu Akawo Salihu is hereby appointed as the OHIMEGE-IGU KOTON-KARFE and is to be turbaned immediately to avoid a vacuum, in accordance with the selection decision of the ODAKI RULING HOUSE, dated 27/4/2012, and endorsed by the Lokoja/Kogi Local Government Area Traditional Council, dated 14/5/2012.
The stool of OHI OF UHUODO is hereby created, and the procedures for occupying the stool will start immediately, in accordance with the 1998 high court judgement that fully recognises ODODO as the legitimate child of ITA’AZI, the father of Ebira land, and UHUODO as a distinct district in Ebira land with equal rights as others.
