Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Zacheaus Adangor, has stepped down.
Governor Sim Fubara received a letter from him on November 14, 2023, announcing his resignation.

He claimed that the current political climate in the state had no bearing on his departure, which was driven by personal ideals.
“With effect from the date of this letter, I thus give Your Excellency Notice of my resignation as the Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Rivers State.
A portion of the letter stated, “For the avoidance of doubt, from the said office is based on personal principles.”
