Boypee Denies Removing ‘Ogechi Remix’ Due to Davido Greed
Boypee addresses rumors, denying that the removal of the ‘Ogechi Remix’ video is linked to Davido’s alleged greed.
Boypee, an up-and-coming Nigerian artist, has refuted allegations that he and his fellow collaborators Brown Joel and Hyce removed the music video for their hit track “Ogechi” featuring Davido due to the DMW leader’s avarice.
According to Obasanjonews.com, the official video for ‘Ogechi Remix’, which served as Davido and Chioma’s wedding song, has been taken down from YouTube due to copyright-related concerns.
After the video on Davido’s DMW YouTube page was taken down, @Johnnyescoba – a user with an X handle – shared a report by Boypee (one of the owners featured in Davido’s version) that alleged DMW boss removed it to monopolize all view royalties.

According to the user, “We had to remove the Ogechi Remix video because Davido insisted on claiming all of the royalties.”
“Boypee stated in a recent interview.”
Boypee discredited the assertions by citing, “Who are you to speak such nonsense? What benefit do I gain from your attempt to ruin my reputation?”
