Victor Boniface has received praise from Bayer Leverkusen after being given his first call-up to the Nigerian national team.
The attacker was selected for the Super Eagles team on Sunday in preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.
Because of his outstanding performances at the club level, the 22-year-old was invited.
Last year, Boniface shared the UEFA Europa League’s scoring lead with two other players.
In his first three league games for Bayer Leverkusen, the striker scored four goals, making an outstanding start to the new campaign.
As soon as the player was called up, the club posted congratulations on social media.
For the first time, Victor Boniface has been named to the Nigerian national squad.
