Boniface explains that appointing Guardiola as the Super Eagles’ coach won’t shield the team from ongoing criticism, no matter the success.
Regardless of who leads the team, Victor Boniface asserts that the Super Eagles will always face criticism from their supporters.
Criticism has been leveled at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for its failure to appoint a permanent head coach for their team after Finidi George stepped down in June.
There is always a split in opinion regarding which coach, whether local or expatriate, should be responsible for managing the team.

Boniface, nevertheless, stated that he does not hold a preference for either locals or expatriates.
The Bayer Leverkusen striker stated to Football Fans Tribe in an interview that regardless of acquiring Guardiola, Nigerians will always have something to say. Nevertheless, he is not one to be bothered by the opinions of others since they are not part of his team.
“Our responsibility is to perform our best on the field, and that’s all. It relates to life where criticism from others will persist. Therefore, no matter who you appoint as a coach, people will always have opinions.”
