A deadly bomb explosion in Borno State has claimed the lives of two individuals, with authorities investigating the cause and impact of the attack amidst ongoing security concerns in the region.

An explosion caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) has resulted in the deaths of two individuals at a housing estate under construction in Dalwa, Borno State.

As reported by Channels Television, the incident took place around 1 PM on Wednesday, coinciding with the commissioning of housing estates in Maiduguri by Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum and his Yobe counterpart, Mai Mala Buni.

A source informed Channels Television that a similar event transpired on Tuesday, although details regarding that incident remain unclear.

According to DAILY POST, Dalwa is located 175 kilometers from Maiduguri and has been significantly affected by the destruction and displacement caused by Boko Haram terrorists.
