Omobolanle Raheem, a female lawyer and real estate consultant, was killed on Christmas Day in the state’s Ajah region, and a Yaba-based magistrate court has ordered that police officer ASP Drambi Vandi be kept in custody.
The defendant was charged with murder by the government of Lagos State, and Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun sent him back to jail.
The man who killed Raheem, ASP Drambi Vandi, was charged with one count by Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN, who is the Lagos State Attorney-General.
In line with Section 264 of the Lagos, 2015 Administration of Criminal Justice Law, the Attorney General asked for the defendant to be sent back to jail.
He told the Chief Magistrate that the remand is meant to give the police time to finish their investigation into what happened.

The Magistrate agreed to send the defendant to the Ikoyi Correctional Facility and ordered that a copy of the case file be made and sent to Dr. Jide Martins, who is in charge of public prosecution, so that he can give legal advice.
She then called off the meeting until January 30th, 2023, to await legal counsel.
Remember how the police officer, who was allegedly clearly intoxicated, got into a fight with the deceased’s husband, and no amount of pleading from his colleagues to let the Bolanle husband, who was driving the car, go, worked?
The cop fired at the automobile while Bolanle’s husband was looking for a place to park, striking the deceased woman in the chest and killing her instantly, according to reports.
