Boko Haram Attacks Commercial Bus, Executes 3 Passengers
According to SaharaReporters, suspected Boko Haram members carried out an attack near Kamuya village in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, resulting in the execution of three passengers from a commercial bus.
The bus was en route from Biu in Borno State to Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State, when it was intercepted. Witnesses from Kamuya village described the harrowing events, stating that four Christians were taken from the bus and led into a nearby forest, where three of them were killed.
The fate of the fourth passenger remains unknown. Reverend Ibrahim Abako, the Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Yobe State, expressed deep sorrow over the incident and called for increased protection for all citizens, regardless of their religious affiliations.
The Yobe State Police spokesperson, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, declined to confirm the incident and referred inquiries to the military, while Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Army, did not respond to requests for comments.
