A leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bode George, has sworn to leave partisan politics after Bola Tinubu was announced as the president-elect of Nigeria.
After the March 11 governor’s race, according to George, he will stop participating in politics.
George bemoaned the presidential election that gave us Tinubu during his appearance on Arise News on Thursday.

The senior statesman charged Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC chairman, with failing to uphold his vows to guarantee a free and fair election.
He pleaded with Yakubu to let the public’s will be honoured during the governorship election.
After the governorship election, I will no longer be involved in partisan politics, and I am free to live wherever I want, according to George. For myself, I desire tranquilly.
“Tinubu is not for them, according to who I know him to be. I would have offered my congratulations if he had gone through with it. To reach light, you cannot pass through darkness. I am free to move anywhere I want to reside, including Ghana, Togo, or Nigeria.
