Bode George, a former deputy national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, has agreed to work for the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
George indicated his willingness to collaborate with Tinubu’s administration if invited.
Tinubu and Bode George have always occupied adjacent lanes.
During the previous presidential election, George promised to flee Nigeria if Tinubu won.
The PDP leader stated that he would depart Nigeria for Togo if the tribunal ruled in Tinubu’s favor.
However, George pledged to collaborate with Tinubu’s administration if required to fulfill his quota.
The PDP leader told correspondents in Lagos that he has no personal issues with Tinubu.
According to George: “As previously stated, my reaction is impersonal. I’ve served in the military. In the military, you recognize that whoever is in the trench next to you is your sibling.
“When you go out and ask, ‘What is our military mission? It is to defend the nation.
Why would I refuse if he came to me and asked, ‘How do you feel about this, how do you feel about that?’ and ‘Let’s work together in the interest of this country’? This country also educated me.”
