Boards and Commissions in Taraba will be immediately dissolved, per Kefas approval
The immediate dissolution of all current Boards and Commissions in Taraba State has been authorized by Governor Agbu Kefas.
All boards and commissions still operating in the state under any description are to be dissolved immediately, according to the governor’s order, which was issued on Monday.
The dissolution was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps, and it was “with immediate effect.”
The statement stated that “members of the Boards and Commissions affected, are directed to, as a matter of urgency, hand over all government assets and property, moveable and immovable, in their possession to the most senior civil servant in such Board or Commission.”
Additionally, they were told to carry out the instruction within 48 hours of the announcement date.
Upon taking office as the state’s top official, the governor disbanded all of the boards and parastatals that had been set up by the outgoing governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku.
The 16 local government council chairmen in the state were also removed by Kefas.
Members of the dissolved commissions who spoke with DAILY POST claimed they had long anticipated the breakup. They acknowledged that they anticipated the dissolution because Governor Kefas had already dissolved the boards and committees of local government.
