Biden says the Hamas assault was worse than 9/11

The US president claimed that there were “like fifteen” Al-Qaeda assaults on October 7 in Tel Aviv.

Asserting that the Hamas attack on Israel was worse than the terrorist attacks in 2001 in New York and Washington, US President Joe Biden promised on Wednesday that America will “forever” stand with the Jewish state.

On October 7, Biden informed the Tel Aviv audience, “more than 1,300 innocent Israelis” were slaughtered by Hamas, from the music festival close to the Gaza border to the adjacent villages and kibbutzes. At least 31 Americans were among them.

“Children were killed. killing of infants. wholesale murder of entire families. “Rape, beheadings, bodies burned alive,” Biden recited, comparing Hamas to Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) and their atrocities to “pure unadulterated evil” that cannot be justified or excused.

Since this terrorist incident occurred, it has been compared to 9/11 in Israel. But for a country the size of Israel, it was comparable to fifteen 9/11s, according to Biden. “Those tragedies undoubtedly touched a primal nerve in Israel, just as they did and were felt in the US, despite the magnitude being different.

The US leader warned Israelis to avoid becoming “consumed” by the “all-consuming rage” they undoubtedly feel, recalling that the Americans were similarly furious following 9/11, “and while we sought justice and got justice, we also made mistakes.”

According to Biden, Hamas “does not represent the Palestinian people,” who are “suffering greatly as well.” Gazans “need food, water, medicine, and shelter,” and the US has asked Israel to allow humanitarian supplies to be delivered from Egypt to the Palestinian territory – provided that they are inspected and do not end up in the hands of Hamas.

According to Biden, the US has committed $100 million in fresh humanitarian aid to both Gaza and the West Bank in order to sustain more than a million Palestinians who have been displaced due to the fighting.

According to Biden, a “two-state solution” is the only way to bring about peace, and the recent attacks have only increased his “commitment and determination” to make it happen.

You’re not by yourself. Israel will remain a safe, secure, Jewish, and Democratic state today, tomorrow, and forever, Biden assured the Israeli audience, adding, “as long as the United States stands – and we will stand forever,” we will not let you be alone.
