The US president claims to be open to “working with anyone” who wants to benefit the American people.

Following the midterm elections on November 8, President Joe Biden congratulated the Republican Party on gaining the majority in the US House of Representatives.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said in a brief statement on Thursday that the vote last week “demonstrated the power and endurance of American democracy.”
“Election denials, political violence, and intimidation were strongly rejected.”

“I commend Leader [Kevin] McCarthy on the Republicans taking control of the House,”

The president stated that Democrats and Republicans should now cooperate “to cut prices, safeguard the freedom to choose, and maintain our democracy.”

“The American people want us to advance their interests.
They want that we concentrate on topics that are significant to them and on improving their quality of life.
And I’ll collaborate with any Republican or Democrat that wants to get results for them.

After the Associated Press named Mike Garcia the victor in California’s 27th congressional district on Wednesday, it was certain that the Republicans had taken back the majority in the House.
As a result, the Republican Party received 218 members, giving them a narrow majority in the lower house of Congress.

Democrats continue to have control of the Senate, giving them authority over the president’s selections to the judiciary and executive branch. Additionally, any Republican-sponsored legislation will need bipartisan support to pass the Senate or escape Biden’s veto.
