President Tinubu has nominated Bianca Ojukwu along with six others for ministerial positions in his administration. This strategic appointment aims to enhance leadership and representation in the Nigerian government.
President Bola Tinubu’s highly anticipated cabinet reshuffle commenced on Wednesday, involving the dismissal of five ministers and the nomination of seven new candidates for Senate confirmation.
The President reassigned 10 ministers to different ministerial portfolios and nominated seven new ministers for Senate approval.
Tinubu appointed Bianca Odumegu-Ojukwu as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Nentawe Yilwatda as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, officially concluding Betta Edu’s suspended tenure.
The President additionally appointed Maigari Dingyadi as the Minister of Labour and Employment, Jumoke Oduwole to serve as the Minister of Industry, Idi Maiha was chosen for the position in charge of the newly established Livestock Development Ministry. Furthermore, Yusuf Ata has been named Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, while Suwaiba Ahmad will assume duties as Minister of State Education.

The President dismissed Uju-Ken Ohanenye from her role as Minister of Women Affairs, Lola Ade-John from the position of Minister of Tourism, Tahir Mamman as Minister of Education, Abdullahi Gwarzo as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Jamila Ibrahim from her post as Minister of Youth Development.
The President expressed gratitude to the departing members of the Federal Executive Council for their service to the nation and extended best wishes for their future endeavors.
He urged both the newly appointed ministers and their reassigned colleagues to view their roles as a call to serve the nation.
He emphasized that all appointees need to comprehend the administration’s strong commitment and determination to guide Nigeria towards sustainable growth, utilizing their full potential in achieving the government’s priorities.
