In response to an unprecedented clash between rival cults in Naka town, Gwer-West Headquarters, a dusk-to-dawn curfew has been imposed to restore peace and prevent further escalation of violence.
The chairman of the local government, Henry Agba, justified this action by stating that the clash resulted in the deaths of two individuals from both sides, leading to a tense atmosphere in the town.
The curfew, which began on Wednesday, restricts movement from 8 pm to 6 am, effectively restoring a sense of normalcy and ensuring the safety of the residents.
Agba’s decision was necessary to contain the situation and protect the community from the ongoing cult war.
According to an eyewitness, who preferred to remain anonymous, the clash between the rival cults originated from a minor disagreement between two young men but quickly escalated into a full-blown war.
