Bello Turji Dares Nigerian Govt: We Are Not Afraid to Die
Bello Turji has released a provocative video challenging the Nigerian government, stating his group’s fearless stance on death and banditry.
Bello Turji, the infamous leader of a group of bandits, has declared that he and his accomplices do not fear death.
“If we were afraid of death,” Turji declared, “neither I nor my foot soldiers would bear arms.”
In his latest video, the bandit leader divulged that he had threatened the government for deploying Service Chiefs to Sokoto State to combat his group.
Turji was recorded in a viral video saying, “Had we feared death, taking up arms would not have been our choice. Cease sending Service Chiefs to pursue us.”

Turji and his crew were caught on camera celebrating their acquisition of two Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles, MRAPs, which belonged to the Nigerian Army. The videos came out just a few days ago.
Turji’s assertion about seizing the two MRAPs was dismissed by Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters, DHQ.
According to DHQ, the reason for demobilizing two MRAPs was that troops were unable to remove them from swampy terrain following an operation against bandits in Zamfara State.
The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa and other key military personnel visited Sokoto State on Tuesday to announce their preparedness in leading a military campaign against Turji as well as other criminal elements plaguing the North West area.
