Yira Sor, a winger for Nigeria, said that life has been difficult for him at KRC Genk in the Belgian Pro League.
In Sunday night’s 2-2 draw between Genk and KAA Gent, Sor scored two goals.
This season, the 23-year-old has had difficulty finding consistent playing time with the Smurfs.

Sor told Het Belang Van Limburg, “The coach told me on Saturday that I had to be ready, because there was a chance that I would be in the starting line-up.”
Naturally, I was pleased because I don’t play that frequently and I found it challenging. Nevertheless, I kept my faith in myself and realised that I had to take advantage of this opportunity. I achieved both of my objectives.
Sor has made nine league appearances for Genk this season, scoring two goals.
