Despite being removed from his position by the government, Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Fulani Emir of Kano State, has extended his congratulations to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on the occasion of Arafat Day and the Eid ceremony.

In addition, the Emir has also conveyed his congratulations to President Bola Tinubu and urged both him and the Governor to continue implementing meaningful development projects that will alleviate the current economic hardships faced by the citizens.

The Emir also expressed his gratitude towards the security agencies for ensuring peace in the midst of unfortunate events, and urged them to continue their efforts in maintaining peace in Kano.

He stated, “As a law-abiding citizen, I am complying with the Security’s directives to postpone our earlier plans of conducting Traditional Hawan Nassarawa and Dubar. This is to ensure that everyone can go about their business without fear of harassment or attack.”

The 15th Fulani Emir of Kano advised the security agencies to prioritize the safety of Kano and ensure that no harm befalls anyone.

Bayero encouraged the people of Kano to continue supporting their government by remaining loyal to its programs and policies, so that together, the state and the country can achieve greatness once again.

In a separate statement, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba Aminu Babba DanAgundi, speaking on behalf of the Emir, announced the suspension of the earlier plans to pray at the state Eid ground.

“The Emir, a man of respect who upholds the rule of law, has not only instructed us to announce the suspension of his plans to pray at the Eid ground, but has also agreed to pray at the Nassarawa palace alongside his subjects.”
