Agents of the Accord Party and the All Progressives Congress on Monday battled during the collation of ballots of the Bayelsa State governorship election.
The two agents had an altercation, which escalated in a physical brawl at the collation centre in Yenagoa, the state capital on Monday.

The pair caused a commotion at the centre, despite the state returning officer, Prof. Faruq Kuta, best efforts to break up the fight.
But after a short while, law enforcement officials intervened and brought order back, allowing the collation process to continue.
The event happened soon after the Returning Officer declared Timipre Sylva, the APC candidate, the victor of the state’s Brass Local Government Area.
