In order to handle traffic problems during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, the Federal Road Safety Corps, or FRSC, in Bauchi State has announced the deployment of 592 troops.
The news was made at a press conference in Bauchi on Friday by Patrick Ikaba, the Sector Commander of the FRSC in the state.
Ikaba said that 467 regular corps members and 125 Special Marshals would be deployed, and that their duties would include preventing and responding to traffic accidents as well as removing any obstacles.
Ikaba also disclosed that 19 vehicles will be used for speed control, highway surveillance, and warning drivers of impediments. These vehicles include 13 patrol cars, 5 ambulances, and 1 light-duty tow truck.

He declared, “Interconnectivity will receive the desired attention, and communication equipment will be used at their optimum level.”
“We are ready to assist you and address any information regarding a crash. We have staff available around-the-clock to handle emergencies on our roadways.
Ikaba stated that in order to guarantee a trouble-free Sallah celebration, the FRSC is working with other security organisations.
In an effort to lower the number of fatalities, he claims that health care providers would also be on hand to provide victims of traffic accidents with immediate help.
The Sector Commander called on all drivers to follow traffic laws and regulations, highlighting the FRSC’s mission to protect Nigerians on the roads.
