The narrative claims that three collaborators, a native physician known as the “Mediciner,” and Danladi Ya’u, 28, of Damaiwa village via Bursali ward Zaki LGA are currently at large.
Following their fortification with local charms to prevent bullet penetration, they were rumoured to have gone to the Damaiwa woods to test a gun on one Muhammadu Murtala Ali, 43, of the same address.
“Wakil, a Superintendent of Police, explained that the defendant, Danladi Ya’u, regrettably shot and penetrated the said Muhammadu Murtala while on the process with the locally made gun,”
The victim was taken to General Hospital Jakusko Yobe State for medical attention by a team of detectives under the direction of DPO Zaki, who acted quickly after receiving the information, he said.
A medical professional pronounced the victim dead.
Additionally, attempts to find and apprehend the accomplices who were escaping have been stepped up. Two suspects were detained right away. The accused will face charges in court following the conclusion of the inquiry, according to the PPRO.
The Command urges the public to learn from this crime and refrain from using it as justification to kill law-abiding, hardworking persons, as each and every human soul is precious and inviolable to its bearer.
Thus, the family, friends, and loved ones of the deceased are reassured by Commissioner of Police CP Auwal Musa Muhammad PSC that the Command will maintain its impartiality and see to it that justice is served to both.
