The Appeal Court’s decision upholding Bala Mohammed’s victory has been hailed by Bauchi State Deputy Governor Auwal Jatau as a “new impetus for more commitment to serve the people.”
According to OBASANJO NEWS24, the governor was proclaimed the official victor of the March 18 governorship election by the Appeal Court on Friday.

In a Friday message of congratulations, Jatau stated that the win not only demonstrated the resilience of democracy but also the PDP administration’s dedication to the advancement of the state and the general well-being of its constituents.
Political analyst Mr. Abdullahi Yelwa also reacted, saying it was not surprising that the Appeal Court upheld Mohammed’s election.
Yelwa, a senior lecturer in the department of crime management and control (CMC) at Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic in Bauchi, continued, saying that the appeal court’s decision to overturn the tribunal’s ruling may have been startling.
“One may probably predict with accuracy that the appeal court would sustain the judgement exactly if they closely examine the specifics of the tribunal’s ruling.
He explained, “The Appeal Court gets its name from the fact that it is intended to review decisions made at the court that comes before it, which in this case is the tribunal.”
