The State Government, Federal Ministry of Health, and Nutrition International collaborated on the pilot initiative, which aims to alleviate the burden of maternal mortality among women of reproductive age.

For the purpose of giving the supplements to the 40,000 pregnant women who are the target population from the local government areas that would benefit, 84 health care centres have already been chosen.

Governor Mohammed emphasised the significance of the plan and gave the assurance that the state would carry out all of its responsibilities, including paying counterparties, in order to ensure the project’s successful completion.

The governor, accompanied by Secretary to the State Government Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, expressed gratitude to the development partners for bolstering the administration’s efforts to enhance the nutrition of women in the state during pregnancy.
