Bandits attacked the Gusau-Zaria expressway, abducting several travelers and leaving others in fear.
An unknown number of travelers were kidnapped on the Gusau-Zaria Expressway after bandits intercepted them on Monday.
For approximately half an hour, the assailants obstructed traffic and recklessly discharged their firearms in the vicinity of Magazu village located within Tsafe Local Government Area situated in Zamfara State.

Reports indicate that the Nigerian Army Quick Response team swiftly answered distress calls using four trucks and confronted a group of bandits, causing them to escape into nearby bushes while taking some individuals with them.
A driver who managed to flee reported encountering a significant number of armed attackers.
Farmers have been facing daily roadblocks, attacks and kidnappings by bandits ever since the farming season began. Sadly, there has been no official communication from military or police authorities regarding any effective measures taken to neutralize these criminals thus far.
