In Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria, a newly married couple and two other individuals were recently abducted by a large group of bandits.
The incident occurred in Madabanciya village, located in the Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.
The bandits not only took the groom, bride, and two others captive, but they also stole valuable items such as the bride’s clothes and ornaments, as well as animals.
A resident of the area, who preferred to remain anonymous, revealed that the bandits arrived shortly before midnight and carried out their operation without any opposition, as there were no security personnel present in the entire area.
This unfortunate event marks the first attack of its kind in the region. As of now, there has been no official confirmation of the incident from the state police command, and the spokesperson for the command, ASP Yazid Abubakar, stated that he has not yet received any information regarding the matter.
