The Kaura-Namoda town, the administrative centre of the Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area (LGA) in Zamfara State, is reported to have had three fatal bandit attacks.
An eyewitness claimed that the bandits ambushed the town on Tuesday night at nine o’clock and started shooting at the locals, forcing them to escape for their lives.

News Point Nigeria was notified by Ismaila Kaura, a resident of Kaura-Namoda town, that Ni’ima, a 10-year-old girl who was travelling to Islammiyya school at the time, was among the three individuals that died in the tragedy.
He claimed that once Operation Hadarin Daji troops were sent to the town, they engaged the bandits in a gunfight and drove them out of the community.
State police had not yet commented on the most recent attack.
