The Magarya community in Zamfara State’s Zurmi Local Government Area has been attacked by armed bandits.
According to information acquired by Obasanjonews.com, eleven individuals were slain, including four civilians and seven mobile police personnel.
Three vehicles were also torched, one of which belonged to Magarya’s district head and brother of Nasir Magarya, the former speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly.

Additionally, rumours circulated that the former speaker’s home’s parlour furniture had been set on fire.
Ahmad Umar, a local, claims that Magarya Model Primary School was set on fire, injuring numerous persons to varying degrees.
At the time this report was filed, ASP Yazid Abubakar, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, was unavailable.
