Bandits launch a deadly attack on churches in Kaduna, killing three people and abducting a pastor along with 30 others, sparking fears of rising insecurity in the region.
Daredevil bandits launched an unprovoked attack on Bakinpah-Maro, a community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State which resulted in the death of three Christian worshipers.
When the attackers targeted both ECWA and Catholic churches in the community, they kidnapped around 31 people, including a pastor.
According to OBASANJONEWS, the occurrence happened on Sunday while church service was in progress.
The regrettable occurrence was verified by Cafra Caino, a past chairman of Kajuru LGA as reported by LEADERSHIP.
According to Caino, a group of bandits came in large numbers around 10 am and fired randomly at the two churches located within the community.
One of the kidnapped individuals, Bernard Gajera, was revealed to be a pastor at one of the churches by him.
Despite attempts made by OBASANJONEWS to contact ASP Munir Hassan, the Public Relations Officer of Kaduna State Police, no response was received.
