The usage of commercial motorcycles and tricycles at night in 19 local government areas has been outlawed by the Katsina State Government in an effort to increase security in the state.
The restriction is in place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to a statement made on Sunday by Nasiru Mu’azu, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs.
The decree, according to the statement, applies to local government regions where banditry and other similar crimes are present in full force.
Sabuwa, Dandume, Funtua, Faskari, Bakori, Kankara, Danja, Kafur, Malumfashi, Musawa, Matazu, Danmusa, Safana, Dutsinma, Kurfi, Charanchi, Jibia, Batsari, and Kankia are among them (local government areas), according to the statement.
He clarified that the general public has to know that the order’s goal is to end the bandits’ torment of the affected areas by establishing a lasting state of peace.
