Bandit Attack in Kaduna: Lawmaker Confirms Eight Killed, Five Abducted in Community Invasion

Yahaya Musa Dan Salio, the Member representing Kakangi Ward at the Kaduna State House of Assembly, has verified a bandit attack that took place in Maraban Agyaro community on Friday.

The incident resulted in the abduction of the village heads of Kakangi and the tragic death of eight villagers in Kisaya village, located in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attackers struck the area at approximately 8 am on Thursday, during which they not only abducted the two village heads but also took four farmers who were working on their farms. Additionally, six women from the village were also reported to have been abducted during the attack.

A source within the community revealed that the village heads were en route from Kakangi to Birnin-Gwari when they were forcefully taken by the assailants.

Hon Yahaya Musa Dan, upon receiving the distressing news, acknowledged the abduction of the two village heads and the tragic loss of eight residents from Kakangi.

Despite efforts to reach out to the State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansur Hassan, for further information or comments regarding the incident, he was unavailable as he did not answer his phone calls or respond to text messages.
