Hadiza Bala Usman, a former managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), has been chosen by President Bola Tinubu as the special adviser on policy coordination.
Hannatu Musa Musawa, the Special Adviser for Culture and Entertainment Economy, was also chosen by the President.
In a statement released on Monday, Willie Bassey, the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation’s (SGF) Director of Information, announced the appointments.
Additionally, the President named Olarewaju Kunle Ibrahim as Senior Special Assistant, National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives) and Senator Abdullahi Abubakar Gumel as Senior Special Assistant, National Assembly Matters (Senate).

Bala Usman was initially chosen by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve as the MD of the NPA in 2016. In January 2021, he was reappointed for a second 5-year term.
However, Rotimi Amaechi, the former minister of transportation, recommended that she be suspended from her position as the NPA’s MD later in May 2021.
