The All Progressives Congress, APC, and its governorship candidate Sadique Abubakar’s plea was denied by the Bauchi State Governorship Election plea Tribunal.
The Peoples Democratic Party’s Governor Bala Mohammed was declared the winner by the tribunal.
The three-person panel, presided over by Justice P.T. Kwahar, concluded that there was “no strong reason to nullify the election” and that the vote had been held in accordance with the law.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, proclaimed Bala Mohammed the victor of the March 18 governorship election, according to OBASANJO NEWS24.
But the APC candidate—a former chief of the air staff—appealed to the court to have the election declared invalid due to purported irregularities.
