Bala Mohammed, the governor of the state of Bauchi, and four other PDP governors are currently meeting behind closed doors in Bauchi.
Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State are the four G5 governors present in the meeting.
However, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde was not present because he was in Benue State on Monday with his G5 colleagues to inaugurate several Ortom-completed projects.
According to Wike, they are visiting Governor Mohammed to show their support and to talk about how they can help with some issues that are affecting his (Bauchi governor’s) reelection campaign.
Governor Mohammed, for his part, acknowledged the expression of concern and named some of the problems as state-wide treachery and anti-party obstacles. He continued by saying that he is also open to sharing his anxieties and misgivings with the integrity group (G5).
